If you’re like me and absolutely sick to death of hearing about SpaceX and Elon Musk, then you’ll want to skip this documentary film about Musk’s two-decade efforts to resurrect America’s space travel ambitions. There’s nothing wrong with this movie, but unless you’re really into dance films you can probably skip it for now and save it for a day when there aren’t other big releases to watch. The film is set in Paris and features Lisa Teige. Skip! Battle: Freestyle is a new release movie about a Norweigian dance competition. Linklater was inspired by his own life to create this heartfelt film. The story is told from two perspectives, the astronaut and mission control and a kid growing up in Houston, Texas. Watch! Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Richard Linklater returns with this deeply moving film about the first moon landing during the summer of 1969. There are much better comedies on Netflix. It’s also a stark reminder of all the worst parts of the pandemic and considering we’re still living through the pandemic, it’s not the kind of escapism most of us are looking for when it comes to enjoying a comedy.
